Ojai Rock Climbing

Rock climbing adventures and instruction in Ojai, California.

Guiding multi-pitch terrain for one of my favorite clients 🫡 My passion is taking people to the most wild places in our mountains, and bringing them back safe. March Update // Daylight savings, local forest closure, and the incoming spring. Clouds above, Ojai below ☁️☁️☁️ Sunny summits with an ocean view ☀️ February Update :: Im back from Europe and although the forest wide closure is still in effect, there are a handful of cliffs with access currently. DM us for more info and check the map provided by @lpforestwatch for the current status on trails and roads. Using a short section of 5mm tech cord can be a good, compact option when rigging on bolts. Bolted anchors often do not require long sections of material, since many bolted anchors do not need to be extended past edges (some do though). And bolts are often very close to each other, which also means you may not need a bulky, standard cordelette or similar solution. Anchor basics: V-rig on bolts with rappel rings ⚙️⚙️⚙️ Guide mode... engage 🤖 /// another day on the job at Sespe Gorge 🌱🌱🌱 A guest experiences outdoor rock climbing for first time at Sespe Gorge ✨✨✨
